Jimmie Rodgers emigrated to Washington, D.C., 1938, and began singing as the "Singing Brakeman" on a radio broadcast. The success of this recording project was followed by four more hits, including "In the Jailhouse Now," Waiting for a Train," "Someone to Love Me" and "Waiting for a Train." His recordings featured an unusual accompaniment: the tuba and guitar.

Blue yodel songs

A multitalented country music legend, Jimmie Rodgers wrote thirteen blue yodel songs. His songs often featured dark undertones, making him a prolific writer. Blue yodel comes from traditional blues. It is based off 12-bar blues songs. One of his most famous songs is "T for Texas", a song that sold half a billion copies.

Many talented musicians gained fame as blue yodel-singers after Jimmie Rodgers died. Jimmie Davis (author of "You Are My Sunshine") became a well-known yodeler. Later, he became governor in Louisiana and won the Grammy award for his country songs recordings. Gene Autry was also a famous singing cowboy.

Mississippi life

Jimmie Rodgers' Mississippi life is filled with love and tragedy. Jimmie was born into an impoverished home and his mother died at six. He went to school occasionally, and spent his days in barber shops and pools halls. Although he worked for low-paying railroad jobs, he spent every penny he earned. His tragic end did not alter the Mississippi legend.

Legend lists Jimmie Rodgers’ birthplace as Meridian in Mississippi. However historians believe he was really born in Geiger Alabama, where his paternal grandparents lived. Despite the disagreement over his birthplace, many still consider Pine Springs, Mississippi as the true birthplace of the famous singer. Rodgers lived most of his childhood and adulthood in southeast Mississippi. However, Rodgers also spent some time with family members in southwest Alabama.

FAQ

How many movies does Hollywood make a year?

Hollywood studios produce around 3,000 films per year. Three thousand!

Hollywood spends billions to advertise for these movies. They spend millions making them. They spend millions to promote them. But how many do you think actually end up getting released into theaters?

Most likely, the answer is around 200-300. The question is, what happens to all the other 2,700+ films? Many of the films are either directly-to-video released or left to collect dust in storage vaults.

However, not all of them are unavoidable. Some of them have been selected for distribution via Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, iTunes, Google Play, etc.

Hence, why aren't there more of them? Why aren’t they being shown in theaters instead? They're too costly to produce.

They could also be made cheaper and put into theaters.

I can help. I'll help you find the best way for your film to be released in theaters.

I will show you how to maximize the return on your investment (ROI), and increase your chances of seeing your film in theaters.

Let's face facts...

It can be challenging to get your film into theaters. It is a complex, long-winded and complicated process that requires a lot of legalities.

It could also be costly before you even start.

You have a very short window in which to distribute your film.

There simply isn't enough time between when a film is finished, and its theatrical run begins.

Does Hollywood make more money from foreign sales than domestic sales?

Yes, but not very much. 2017 foreign revenue accounted for approximately 17%. 83% of total revenue came from domestic sources.

In fact, overseas markets account for over half of the world's population.

This means that many people, even those who don't watch movies at home, will still want to see yours.

Are Hollywood and Bollywood bigger than Bollywood?

Producers face the greatest challenge of making sure their movie is seen by viewers.

Problem is, there are many films competing for viewers' time and money. It's hard to stand out among the rest and get noticed.

But what makes a movie popular? What makes an actor a star? Or a director? It's more than talent, it's also luck. The best actors may be the best, but they will not succeed if they are writing bad scripts.

And when it comes to films, there are two main types: big-budget blockbusters and small independent productions. Blockbuster films can cost hundreds and millions of dollars to make and distribute. These blockbuster movies are usually produced by big studios who want their movies to reach as broad an audience as possible. However, these films with big budgets appeal mostly to older viewers.

Independent films are generally smaller-scale productions that may be financed by individuals or groups of investors. These films often focus on niche markets and cater to specific tastes. They're usually less expensive to produce and market. However, this doesn't mean that they're always cheaper to watch. In fact, most indie films are very hard to find.

Is it possible to have both types of films? Are we going to need both big blockbuster movies or small independent films? Hollywood is much bigger than Bollywood. Hollywood makes almost twice the number of movies each year than India.
